Goes live
Everything gathered during the consultation and the listing process is compiled into the MLS® posting. When it’s published, your house is live and all other REALTORS® can view the listing. Agents get alerts for new listings and can see additional information the listing agent provides — surveys, utility costs, a list of renovations, and so on. Some agents send new listings directly to their buyers as soon as they’re posted, if they meet the criteria.
Goes public
After a certain period, the listing goes public and becomes available to members of the public. At that point, REALTORS® can track how many views it gets from agents and from potential buyers.
Showing requests and enquiries
Interested buyers’ agents contact your agent to set up showings. Your agent confirms a time with you and books the appointments, and provides any additional information the buyer’s agent requests. It’s important to get your house ready to show — your agent can help with this too.
Showings and feedback
Once a showing is booked, the buyer’s agent accesses your house through the lockbox. They’ll typically provide feedback on request — useful information such as how the house showed, what their buyers thought, and their opinion on the list price.
The offer
When an offer comes in, your agent gets in touch to present it. This can get more complicated with multiple offers — you’ll then begin negotiating and, finally, arrive at an accepted offer.
If you’re thinking of selling, get in touch and we can set up a no-obligation meeting to discuss the best way forward.
